n Tuesday, 7 November 2023, the European Commission (DG Connect) organised an Info Day on the third CEF Digital call for the 5G & Edge Cloud for Smart Communities action.
This Info Day aimed to support and guide call applicants for their upcoming project submissions, as well as invited stakeholders to connect with potential partners through matchmaking.

Project Pitches
Info Day organised by HaDEA and the European Commission HaDEA CEF Digital Info Day – Call for proposals 3 26 October 2023, Online
Speakers from the European Commission’s Directorate‑General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (CONNECT) and the Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) presented in detail the call topics, the evaluation steps, and the grant award process. Interested stakeholders learned more on how to apply and how to draft successful proposals.

The French Directorate General for Enterprise organised a presentation webinar followed by a question/answer sequence in the presence of representatives of the European Commission and winners of the previous wave of the call for projects for sharing experience. A focus will be on the calls for projects “ 5G coverage along transport corridors ”, and “ 5G for smart communities ”**.**

The federal government's gigabit office will offer a German-language webcast in which experts from the European Union explain the requirements, framework conditions and potential of "5G and Edge Computing for Smart Communities". Also invited are representatives of the German best practice example “5G for University Hospital Frankfurt”, which has already been successfully approved as part of the first funding call for “5G for Smart Communities”.
